Vancouver's Parks as Our Classroom

Our programs take place in some of Vancouver's most beautiful parks throughout East Vancouver. These green spaces offer diverse landscapes and endless opportunities for exploration, learning, and connection with nature. Each park provides unique features that contribute to your child's outdoor education experience.

🌟 Roving Programs

Our Flicker classes are "roving programs" that move between different locations throughout the year. This variety ensures children experience different environments and learning opportunities. Locations are communicated to families through monthly newsletters and reminder emails.

Renfrew Ravine

We'll explore the wonders of this ravine right in the middle of Vancouver! The natural landscape in this city gem offers many opportunities to interact with nature. This location provides a unique urban wilderness experience with diverse terrain and natural features perfect for exploration and discovery.

Trout Lake

We spend particular times of the year at Trout Lake and love it when we do. We explore the south end of the park delighting in the giant Cedar trees throughout as well as perfect hills for rolling down. Of course, we bring our famous Mud Kitchen to the beach area!

Clark Park

This lovely park is tucked in between Clark and Commercial Drive. It has a collection of giant Douglas Fir and Arbutus trees that we love to explore and a large hill just perfect for rolling, running, or rambling down. The varied terrain provides excellent opportunities for physical development and nature exploration.

🛡️ Safety First

Each park is visited prior to our time there to ensure it meets the needs of our program. Safety is of the highest concern and one that Muddy Boot Prints takes very seriously. Prior to daily drop-offs, our educators do daily site checks to ensure each park is safe. In the event they see something concerning, they will call 311 and report it.

Location Updates: Locations are emailed out to parents in our monthly newsletter. We also send reminder emails before we shift locations. We have a strong policy of "No Muddy Boots left behind!" - we make sure every family knows exactly where to find us.

Coverage Area: Our programs are located throughout Vancouver between MacDonald Street and Renfrew Street, providing convenient access for East Vancouver families.
